lucoly is a community platform and a program of Nashville Tech Builders, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (“lucoly,” “we,” “us”). Nashville Tech Builders is the organization responsible for personal information handled by the platform. This policy explains what we collect on lucoly.com and through platform accounts, and how we handle it.
If you are a member of a community that runs on lucoly (for example, Nashville Tech Builders), the privacy policy published on that community's own site describes how your member data is handled there. This page covers lucoly.com and the platform itself.
01What we collect
- Account information: if you create an account, your name, email address, and profile image — whether you sign up with an email code or through a third-party sign-in provider. Social sign-in gives us your verified email, name, and profile image from the provider; we never see your password.
- Sign-in security data: our authentication service keeps session records, which include IP address and browser user-agent, to secure your account.
- Interest and signup forms: what you submit when you express interest in a plan or starting a community — typically your work email and community name.
- Payment information: if you pay for a plan or donate, payments are processed by our payment processor. We receive transaction records, not your card number.
lucoly.com itself does not run third-party advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie we set is the session cookie that keeps you signed in.
02How we use information
- to operate your account and the platform;
- to respond to inquiries and plan signups;
- to process payments and donations;
- to keep the platform safe — preventing spam, fraud, and abuse;
- to comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information.
03lucoly as a platform operator
Community organizations on the lucoly network use the platform to manage their members, events, newsletters, and programs. For that member data, the community organization decides how it is used, and lucoly hosts and processes it on the community's behalf under the privacy policy published on the community's site. We access it only to operate and support the platform, never to sell it or use it for advertising.
05Retention and deletion
We keep personal information while your account is active or as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize it. You can delete your account at any time; payment records are retained where required for financial and tax compliance. 06Security
We use passwordless sign-in, HTTP-only session cookies, encrypted connections, and least-privilege access. No system is perfectly secure — keep access to your email account safe, since it is the key to your lucoly account.
07Children
The platform is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
08Where data is processed
We are based in the United States and our providers process data in the United States.
09Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the effective date above and take reasonable steps to notify you.
